….....Welcome to the first IMF Paris Soloists with Orchestra Masterclass & Concerts, organised in Brussels and Paris between the 12th - 18th of August 2024 ! They are open for all participants and non-participants of the competition, and it will be given by the directors of IMF Paris, Svetlana Eganian and Philippe Raskin. ..Bienvenue à la première édition du "IMF Paris Soloists with Orchestra Masterclass & Concerts", organisée à Bruxelles et à Paris entre le 12 et le 18 août 2024 ! Les master-classes sont ouvertes à tous les candidats et non-participants au concours et seront données par les directeurs de IMF Paris, Svetlana Eganian et Philippe Raskin. Masterclasses:

  • Each participant will receive the following masterclasses:

    • 2 hours with Prof. Svetlana Eganian

    • 2 hours with Prof. Philippe Raskin

    • 1 rehearsal with the chamber orchestra, OR 1h with Prof. Eganian / Prof. Raskin, if you apply for the Solo Project

  • The masterclasses with Prof. Eganian and Prof. Raskin will take place in Brussels between the 12th and the 14th of August. Each participant will receive their personalised schedule prior their arrival.

  • Location: Lijsterbessenbomenlaan 3, 1950 Kraainem, Belgium

  • The rehearsals with the orchestra will take place in Paris, on the 15th of August

  • Location: Maison du Portugal - André de Gouveia (7 P, Maison du Portugal - André de GOUVEIA, Bd Jourdan, 75014 Paris, France)

  • The concerts with orchestra will be in the same location as the rehearsals, on August 15.

  • The participants of the “Soloists & Orchestra” Masterclass :

    •⁠ ⁠are required to have full control and perfect memorisation of the concerto.

    •⁠ ⁠will play in an audition 2 days before the concert with orchestra. The Artistic Directors will be present and will not allow the participants who do not have the complete mastering of the work to play in the official concert - in such case the masterclass fees will not be reimbursed.

    •⁠ ⁠will have a rehearsal with the orchestra the day of the concert. One of the Artistic Directors or staff will attend the rehearsals and if they notice any problems, they will not allow these participants to play in the evening concert - in such case the masterclass fees will not be reimbursed.

To each of these fees, €100 must be added as the IMF Administration fee.

The rehearsals with the orchestra are planned on August 15.

Please note that the participation fee of the orchestra project includes performing only one movement of a concerto, but it is possible to apply for more (price upon request).

Payment Details

The administration fee shall be sent via bank transfer/PayPal to block a position and the masterclass fee can be given at the arrival (please note that the masterclass fee is non-refundable and that applying is legally binding).

Practice Rooms

A limited number of practice rooms will be available for the participants of the masterclass. More information and practice options will follow after the registration.

Accommodation
